About
Venue Gurus' goal is to provide all your venue information in one convenient location. This information is not limited to the hard facts and figures. We want first-hand users to share what they know about the venues and what they have learned from their trips to different events. Tips and tricks that may only be known by someone who has been there and done it themselves. By providing in-depth, practical information we strive to provide the best experience for venue goers so that they Know Before They Go!.
Being frequent venue visitors, the founders of Venue Gurus have always relied on friends to try and find out the inside scoop when visiting new venues, to get the most out of our experience. Doing this made us realize that there is a ton of great "unofficial" information out there about the venue experience. In order to selfishly find more of this info for ourselves we developed Venue Gurus. Now other can tells us everything we want to know about these venues and we can share it with everyone else.
Know Before You Go! Venue Gurus is here to help you know what to expect before you go out to an event. Where is the Venue? How do I get there? Where are my seats? What kind of food can I get there? Is there a good restaurant close by? Where should I get a drink after the event? Find all this information and more before you go!
Are you in the know? Be a Guru and share your knowledge. Other people want to know what you have already experienced firsthand. Know something that would be useful to other venue goers? Create an account and start leaving comments about all your favorite venues (and maybe some that didn't quite meet your expectations as well). You'll be putting your great knowledge to work and helping other venue goers have the best experience they can.
Shawn Gault
Co-Founder and CEO
Shawn is an avid event goer, attending well over 50 events a year, whether it be sports, concerts, or the theater . A fan of the Redskins, Dodgers, Clippers and anything Purdue, he always tries to catch a local sporting event when traveling, regardless of the teams involved. Be it small clubs or large arenas, rock, blues or jazz, live music has been a passion for as long as he can remember. Basically Shawn likes going out to venues and seeing live entertainment.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Purdue along with an MBA from Capella have only added to Shawn’s interest in business and specifically entrepreneurship. After being a part of an online retail DVD start-up and a software development start-up Shawn started his own niche ticket brokering company. From there, combining the love of live events and business arose the idea for acquiring and sharing information about venues everywhere.

Andy Storch
Co-Founder
Andy is a huge sports fan and self-proclaimed venue guru. His love of venues was evident at an early age when he memorized the names and specifications of every stadium in Major League Baseball as well as info about most NFL stadiums and NBA arenas as well. This task got more difficult over the years as stadiums started selling their naming rights but the interest still remains. As a child, one of Andy’s dreams was to have season tickets to a major sports team. Today he has season tickets to several teams and is just as obsessed with sports and events as ever.
Andy has worked in sales/marketing for multiple startups in LA and has run a ticket brokerage since 2004 (eventually merging with co-founder, Shawn in 2006). Andy has a bachelor’s degree in information systems from the University of Florida and a MBA from USC’s Marshall School of Business, where he studied entrepreneurship and sports business and served as President of his MBA program.
